How to Request for Decrease in your Smart Postpaid Credit Limit
Before requesting a decrease in your credit limit, please make sure of the following:
- Any related account/s under your name is current and has no overdue balance.
- Your account is active for a minimum of six (6) months.
For Individual accounts:
To request a decrease in your credit limit, you may visit any Smart Store and present a valid ID. If you transact through a representative, please include your valid ID, an authorization letter, and your representative’s valid ID.
You may also make a request through our hotline by calling our toll-free number *888 using Smart or TNT number, or (02) 8888-1111 via landline.
For Corporate accounts:
To request a decrease in credit limit, here are the following requirements:
- Completely filled-out DCL Form signed by the authorized signatory
- Letter of Request signed by the authorized signatory/Email request from the authorized signatory or authorized representative or subscriber on record
- Valid ID of the authorized signatory
