OPPO is starting the year strong with the release of the latest entry in its popular mid-range line of smartphones, the Reno11 5G. OPPO has taken some of the best qualities of the Reno10 and brought them over to the Reno11 5G while also bringing upgraded features to the new device. Released six months after its predecessor, the Reno11 5G is yet another impressive smartphone from OPPO.
The OPPO Reno11 5G features an almost identical design to its predecessor, up to their measurements and weight. It features a large display with minimal bezels, a polycarbonate frame, and a glass back. The frame, as well as the edges of the rear panel and display, are curved so that holding the phone is easier and feels more secure.
The only significant difference in the design is the new camera module at the back of the phone. The Reno11 5G now features a new camera layout which moved the flash to the module beside it. The top of the camera tray features the large main camera of the Reno11 while the ultra-wide and telephoto cameras are placed below.
The power button and volume rocker are found on the right-hand side of the device while the USB Type-C port, the dual SIM card tray, and one of the two stereo speakers are found on the bottom. As for the top, it houses the other speaker as well as an IR blaster. The Reno11 also features an in-display fingerprint sensor.
OPPO has equipped the Reno11 5G with the same excellent 6.7-inch Full HD+ (2412×1080) 120Hz curved AMOLED display as its predecessor. The AMOLED panel ensures vibrant colors and wide viewing angles for watching videos, and the peak brightness of 950 nits lets you use the phone even in bright environments. There’s also HDR10+ support that improves the viewing experience even further by enhancing the colors and contrast of movies.
The 120Hz refresh rate of the Reno11 5G’s display allows for a smoother user experience, whether you’re just scrolling around through your apps or playing your favorite games.
The stereo speakers of the Reno11 5G are capable of projecting sounds loudly while still offering clear and detailed audio quality for a more immersive listening experience, whether you’re gaming, playing music, or watching movies. There’s also the option to crank up the volume up to 300% to be able to hear well while you’re in a loud environment.
OPPO made its biggest upgrades for the new smartphone through the cameras of the Reno11 5G, which is to be expected for a device that the company has dubbed “The Portrait Expert”. The rear triple-camera module of the Reno11 5G now features a 50-megapixel Sony LYT600 main camera, a 32-megapixel telephoto camera, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera.
The 50-megapixel Sony LYT600 main camera of the Reno11 5G is not only able to take excellent portrait and landscape photos in well-lit environments, but its low-light photo capabilities are also pretty impressive. The main camera now supports optical image stabilization so you can be sure that your photos remain sharp and you don’t end up with shaky 4K videos.
Additionally, the new 32-megapixel selfie camera of the Reno11 5G now supports 4K selfie videos, allowing you to start taking high-quality vlogs whether you’re at home or out on an adventure.
OPPO has also retained the Reno10’s competent Mediatek Dimensity 7050 chipset for the Reno11 5G. The octa-core processor is paired with up to 12GB of memory so you can run more apps at the same time. Thanks to its processor and OPPO’s ColorOS 14, using apps on the Reno11 5G is a generally smooth experience.
The Reno11 5G’s processor is also capable of running some of the most demanding mobile games, such as Genshin Impact, at low to medium settings. Less demanding games will be able to run much smoother, which lets you make the most of the OPPO Reno11 5G’s 120Hz display.
Lastly, the Reno11 5G comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 67W SUPERVOOC charging. The combination of its large battery and fast charging support offers you a day’s worth of medium to heavy usage as well as a very short wait time for charging the battery back up to full. The 67W SUPERVOOC charging allows the Reno11 5G to go from empty to full in just one hour.
OPPO released yet another impressive device with the Reno11 5G and is a worthy follow up to last year’s Reno10. The company has upgraded the Reno11 5G where it counts the most— its cameras—while keeping the best aspects of the Reno10. The combination of its new and excellent cameras, beautiful display, impressive performance, and decent battery life, will definitely make for an enjoyable smartphone experience.
The OPPO Reno11 5G is available through Smart Signature Plans+ 999 and up. Depending on the plan you choose, you will have to pay a one-time cash out and a monthly amortization for 23 months. Smart Signature Plans come with a generous allotment for open access data, unlimited all-net calls and text, and 50 to 300 minutes of calls to PLDT.
