Metro Manila is under extended Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) and given the outdoor and social restrictions, we are compelled to settle back into the safety of our homes. This means we can take up our favorite quarantine pastimes such as baking, gardening, purveying delicious homemade food, and, of course, binge-watching.
The past year and a half proved that there is no better escape from the troubles of reality than diving into our couches and into the comforts of a new favorite TV show. If you’ve set your sights on catching up on the latest offerings of local and international TV, we have a list of must-see shows from every popular genre to enjoy this lockdown. So sit back and press play on these new picks:
Genre: Romance and Drama
Why you should watch it: Who doesn’t enjoy a good ol’ story of young love? Aside from the giddy, kilig feels, He’s Into Her has an empowered, strong-willed female lead that we can all root for.
He’s Into Her follows the story of Max, a teenage girl from Mindoro who has been left under the care of her wealthy, estranged father after the death of her mother and after illness has befallen her guardian grandmother. Now living in Metro Manila, she is an outcast; bullied and picked on by the popular kids in school and by that of the star basketball player, Deib. But even Deib is unable to outwit the charms of spunky Max and soon a romance blossoms proving that the line between love and hate is thin indeed.
He’s Into Her is slated to start production on Season 2 soon.
